Privacy Policy

Last updated: 20 October 2026

The short version: the text you type and the files you open in these tools are processed by your own browser and are never transmitted to this site or to anyone else. We do not ask for an account, an email address, or any personal details. The only data involved is the routine technical information any web server sees, plus cookies set by advertising partners if ads are displayed.

1. Content you enter into the tools

Every tool on GetToolkit runs as client-side JavaScript in your browser. When you paste JSON into the formatter, hash a string, or drop an image into the compressor, that content is handled locally by code already loaded on your device. It is not sent anywhere, it is not logged, and it is not stored on a server — there is no server component to send it to.

Some tools keep your most recent input in your browser’s local storage so that reloading the page does not lose your work. This data lives only on your device, is never synchronised, and is deleted when you clear your browser storage. The light/dark theme preference is stored the same way.

You can confirm the absence of uploads yourself: open your browser’s developer tools, switch to the Network panel, and use any tool. You will see no request carrying your input.

2. Information we do not collect

3. Hosting and server logs

The site is served as static files by Cloudflare, Inc. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes the technical details of each request: IP address, browser user-agent string, the page requested, the referring page, and a timestamp. These logs are used to deliver content, to keep the service available, and to defend against abuse such as denial-of-service traffic. Cloudflare acts as our data processor and retains this information only as long as needed for those purposes. Cloudflare’s own privacy practices are described at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

4. Analytics

If analytics are enabled, they are provided by Cloudflare Web Analytics, which reports aggregate figures — page views, referrers, country, device class — without setting cookies, without storing anything in your browser, and without building a profile that follows you across other websites.

5. Advertising and third-party cookies

Hosting this site costs money, and advertising may be used to cover it. If ads are displayed, they are served by third-party vendors, including Google. This is what that means in practice:

Where Google AdSense is used to serve ads, Google may set a DoubleClick advertising cookie on your browser. That cookie is what allows an ad to reflect a page you looked at earlier on a different site. GetToolkit neither reads nor writes it, and does not combine it with anything you enter into the tools on this site.

You can opt out of personalised advertising from Google by visiting Google Ads Settings, and opt out of personalised advertising from other participating vendors at aboutads.info/choices or youronlinechoices.eu. Opting out does not remove ads; it makes them non-personalised.

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland are shown a consent message before any advertising cookies are set, in line with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework and local law. You can change or withdraw that choice at any time by clearing this site’s cookies and reloading the page. Where consent is refused, only non-personalised ads are served.

6. Links to other sites

Some pages link to external resources — specifications, standards documents, browser documentation. Those sites have their own privacy policies and may set cookies once you arrive. Nothing on this site tracks whether you follow a link.

7. Children

GetToolkit is a general-audience utility site and is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in jurisdictions where that is the applicable age of digital consent). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please get in touch so it can be removed.

8. Your rights

Privacy laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA/CPRA give you rights to access, correct, delete, or port personal data, and to object to certain processing. Because this site does not collect personal data and does not maintain user accounts, in most cases there is nothing to retrieve or erase. Where a request concerns server logs held by our hosting provider, or advertising data held by Google, we will help you direct the request to the right place. Requests can be sent through the contact page.

We honour Global Privacy Control (GPC) and Do Not Track signals to the extent required by law.

9. Data retention

We hold no user data, so there is no retention period to state beyond the short-lived server logs described in section 3 and the aggregate analytics in section 4.

10. Changes to this policy

If the way this site handles data changes — for example if a feature is added that requires a server — this page will be updated and the date at the top revised. Material changes will be noted on the home page for a reasonable period. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.

11. Contact

Questions about this policy, or about privacy in general, can be sent via the contact page.
